  • Short Description of the Organization

  • RADAR is a non-governmental, non-profit, non-partisan and independent organization, working on ensuring and promotion of the integrative, scientifically based perspectives of intellectual and academic circles in the country and in the region, in order to develop the values that promote and improve the quality of life, learning and knowledge, which are going to bring about social change.
RADAR works on creation and dissemination of knowledge, as well as on improvement of the standards of learning in the socie-economic sciences, humanities and technology. In that direction, we are providing expertise for public sector at local and national level and non-profit sector through educational activities, trainings for different groups on non-discrimination principles and social inclusion, networking of key stakeholders, project development and implementation.
The creation of RADAR is related to the traditions and practices in Europe, and in particular, in the Balkans. RADAR facilitates communication with the contemporary trends of critical thinking and mutual linking of the domestic and foreign experts in the area of social sciences, communication and networking with institutions having with similar activities from the region and wider. The highly politicized society and the longlasting crisis, the absence of critical mass and thought in the processes of re-examination and re-evaluation of criteria, had provided the impetus for the creation of this organization. The absence of well informed and sensitized public for the socially divided and segregated categories of population and the contemporary and global trends in the development and the scientific thinking, lead to dehumanization and division that creates the gap between the academic and political elite, on one hand and other members of the community, on the other.
Given the abovestated, there is a clear need to foster the production of knowledge and innovative ideas for the region, as a constructive step towards a thorough rethinking of the socio-economic, socio-cultural and political dimension of values, the system and the social/societal practices in the light of established EU policies and EU 2030.
RADAR practices an interdisciplinary approach, promote systemic, systematic and collaborative research, education, exchange and application of the practices leading to change, development and progress in the society, through fostering and nurturing of the principle of excellence.
Constituents of RADAR (founders, members, associates) are persons with proven records in the research and with different background that applies interdisciplinary principle regarding knowledge and learning.
