  • Short Description of Implemented Projects and Achieved Results

  • Women and girls make up 50% or more of the users of water and sanitation services and are real (de facto) surface water and sanitation managers, the basic tool for managing personal hygiene. About 52% of the female population is of reproductive age and most of them menstruate every month. In the world, most of them, especially school girls and women who work (use public facilities), do not have access to clean, private and safe toilets. This means that they have nowhere to change their pads or tampons, nor to wash their hands. For the purposes of the research, an anonymous survey was conducted which included 1290 women from rural and urban areas, aged between 14 and 48 years. The women answered a pre-prepared questionnaire, and the data from the survey questionnaires were statistically processed and from the obtained data tabular and graphic representations were prepared.
With the survey research, which helped us in processing the Cost -benefit analysis, we collected data on the following issues:
    – Demographic and socio-economic characteristics
    – MHM and the conditions under which it is managed
    – The cost of funds for MHP, medicines and treatment during the period
    – Taking care of your own health and taking care of the environment
