The COVID-19 pandemic posed unprecedented challenges for women everywhere and its impact on women entrepreneurs was particularly severe. At GBWN, our publications and research during the pandemic focused on how women navigated lockdowns, shifting supply chains, digital transformation pressures, caregiving burdens, and economic instability. We documented not only losses, but also innovation, adaptation, and resilience.
The consequences of the pandemic and the response to it can still be felt and that is why we joined forces with RE-FEM – ‘Upskilling pathways for REsiliency in the post-Covid era for FEMale Entrepreneurs’ , Erasmus+ project aiming to empower women entrepreneurs, through need-based training for maintaining resilient businesses in the post-covid era. In these challenging times, it is of utmost importance to empower women entrepreneurs, especially those with fewer opportunities, facing obstacles to receiving meaningful support in implementing and further developing their business plans, to upskill their competencies for becoming flexible, resilient, improve digital skills and to effectively apply crisis management strategies.
