Women, men, and diverse groups experience climate risks differently due to their roles in society, access to resources, and decision-making power. Recognizing these differences is key to achieving <strong>climate justice<\/strong> and ensuring inclusive climate policies.<\/p>\n<p>The Gender Budget Watchdog Network (GBWN) is organizing an international conference &#8220;<span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW210874438 BCX0\" data-ccp-parastyle=\"Title\">Going <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW210874438 BCX0\" data-ccp-parastyle=\"Title\">Glocal<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW210874438 BCX0\" data-ccp-parastyle=\"Title\"> 2.0: <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW210874438 BCX0\" data-ccp-parastyle=\"Title\">Sustainable Gender-Responsive Futures&#8221; focused <\/span>on Gender-Responsive Budgeting and Climate Action Monitoring in Skopje, North Macedonia, from <strong>10\u201311 December 2025<\/strong>. The event will bring together civil society organizations, policymakers, and experts from the Western Balkans, Moldova, and Central European Initiative (CEI) countries to address the intersection of <strong>gender equality and climate change<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the conference, GBWN is launching a <strong>photo competition<\/strong> to capture diverse perspectives on <strong>gender and climate change through photography<\/strong>. Selected works will be exhibited during the conference and featured on GBWN\u2019s online platforms.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Objectives of the call: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To spark <strong>public dialogue<\/strong> on the connections between climate change and gender equality.<\/li>\n<li>To encourage <strong>creative expression<\/strong> as a way to communicate complex issues.<\/li>\n<li>To amplify <strong>civil society, youth, and artists\u2019 voices<\/strong> on climate justice.<\/li>\n<li>To enrich the conference with <strong>artistic contributions<\/strong> alongside policy discussions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Suggested themes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Participants are invited to reflect on the following (not limited) topics through the photography:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>The gendered face of climate change.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Who carries the burden of climate crises?<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Everyday resilience: women, men, and communities adapting to change.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Barriers and opportunities for women in green transitions.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Invisible voices in climate action.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Future generations: youth, gender, and climate justice.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open to individuals and groups from <strong>Western Balkans, Moldova, and other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cei.int\/member-states\">CEI countries<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Artists, CSO activists, students, and community groups are encouraged to apply.<\/li>\n<li>Both professional and amateur photographers are welcome.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Submission Guidelines<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>One <strong>photo per participant<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>All works must be <strong>original and unpublished<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Visuals: JPEG\/PNG, high resolution (min. 300 dpi).<\/li>\n<li>Each submission must include a <strong>short artist statement (max. 150 words)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Please send your photography latest by <strong>20\u00a0November 2025 to:<\/strong> <a href=\"mailto:gbwn@crpm.org.mk\">gbwn@crpm.org.mk<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The winner will be chosen by community voting and awarded with the participation at the conference and recognition prize.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Climate change impacts are not gender neutral.
